Seniors Teams and Training
For the 2025-26 season the club will be running 3 senior men's sides for the first time in the club's history.
On the back of a historic title winning season the 1st XV will be competing at level 8 of the rugby pyramid for the first time in the Counties 2 Eastern Counties league against the likes of Thurston, Diss, Fakenham and Wisbech. The step up in level is sure to be a challenge but it is one that the players are looking forward to facing.
The newly reformed 2nd XV also enter into league action for the first time in their history, taking part in the Eastern Counties Greene King Division 2 West merit league. Playing under the "Game On" regulations, the hope is that this setting will provide a more fun and sociable environment for those who want to enjoy their rugby without the same pressure of 1st XV league rugby, while still having something to play for, with bragging rights on the line against near neighbours Wisbech, St Ives and a combined March and Ely "Fenland Barbarians" side.
Finally we have our well established veterans side, The Old Monks. Turning out rougly once a month (until they all get the itch and start asking for more fixture again) the Monks are the embodiment of the social side of grassroots rugby, with many of the players turning out for other local vets sides when they are short on numbers. If you're looking for semi-regular rugby and a lot of good banter over a beer then the Monks is probably the team for you!
Whether you are completely new to the sport, looking to get back in to the game, or simply looking to play in a new environment, we welcome everyone.
Senior training is every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm.
